Williston Federated Church
Women's Book Group
The Women of the Church Book Discussion Group & Potluck meets once
a month from September to June. The book group is open to any woman who
likes to read and laugh. Members host us in their homes or in the
church Fellowship Hall. Our potluck and discussion usually runs from
5:30-8:00 pm.
We read a wide variety of books, which the group chooses. Titles from the past year include Three Cups of Tea, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Road, Suite Francais, Here if You Need Me, The Double Bind, The Book Thief, Couldn't Keep it to Myself: Testimonies of our Imprisoned Sisters, and Nobody's Fool.
The Dorothy Alling Memorial Library assists us with obtaining multiple copies, so not everyone has to purchase a book.
Each discussion has a facilitator, but the
discussion is very relaxed, and we encourage woman to join us even if
they haven't read the book. Watch the church bulletin and the bulletin
board for the date and location of each discussion.
For questions or to get on the email distribution list, please contact Robin Coletta at trlcoletta@comcast.net or 878-2012.
