The main objective of the Membership Committee is to encourage people of the community in commitment to the Christian faith. We are responsible for keeping records of membership, baptism, weddings, and funerals, and reviewing and updating records annually. We schedule, along with the pastor, new member classes and reception of new members into the church. We contact and follow up with those who want to become members and those who are new to the church. We greet or recruit greeters for Sunday morning as well as arrange for coffee fellowship after worship. We provide “gifts” for first time visitors and activity bags for young children to use during worship on Sunday mornings. The committee also encourages that monthly potlucks or other all church fellowship activities be sponsored by each of the standing committees.

An offshoot of the Membership Committee is the Caring Circle.  This dedicated group of individuals meets on the first Thursday of the month. They respond to specific needs in the church family with meals, transportation, phone calls, notes of encouragement and prayers.  This group welcomes your participation in supporting the needs of the church family.  John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
